we came through there about 6:30 and the police, ambulances,and fire trucks were there. The traffic going toward Norton was backed up more than halfway to the BSG first exit.

I believe a vehicle pulled out in front of a truck because the driver couldn't see it in the fog. The woman Linda Upchurch, was killed. She was super nice lady. My thoughts & prayers are with her family.

That is a really bad piece of highway right there, especially during inclement weather.

If you guys are talking about where the old road from the valley to Norton meets the 4 lane, I've always thought they needed to put a traffic light there. When it's foggy, you can't see 10 feet in front of yourself on the 4 lane anyways...and considering the intersection is a pretty good ways outside of Norton, a sensor triggered traffic light (one that just turns when a car approaches the intersection from the old road) wouldn't hinder the flow of traffic in either direction...and IMO It'd save lives.
